ALONSO ARREOLA PRESENTS LA MIGALA, A SUICIDAL READING, at the Weaver's Forum.

Gathered around ("The night suicide ") a radio program that is dedicated to suicide, Alonso Arreola, Denise Gutiérrez, Juan Manuel Torreblanca and Sofía Mora respectively play an alcoholic announcer, to the spirit of Beatriz (“impossible love”, in the words of maestro Juan José Arreola), a potential suicide (the central character of “LA MIGALA”) and Arachne, weaver of fate in whose delirious webs we find ourselves trapped, subject to defeat, spite, loneliness and death by one's own hand.

Framing the story of that very peculiar radio program -the only one where death is welcome- invokes several famous suicides through their songs or poems, reinvented on the stage by this quartet of friends, spirits related to the one who wishes to live his last days on the edge, chased by a spider.

In the original version of story, an unbalanced man releases a poisonous spider into his house and He waits for the sting that will take his life away. The days pass. He knows that LA MIGALA is still on the prowl. His world shrinks. that reality claustrophobic serves as therapy to forget the rejection of his beloved.
