ZⓈONAMACO, already consecrated as the most important art fair in Latin America, presents the list of exhibitors selected for the 2019 edition that will take place from February 6 to 10 at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City where we will be able to appreciate from historical pieces of modern art to contemporary works by global artists, as well as collector's pieces and special design editions.
"For this new edition of the fair, there will be new galleries and; Tania Ragasol, director art of ZⓈONAMACO, and the selection committees, have been in charge of choosing the galleries of the General and Modern Art sections; For the second consecutive year, the curator of the ZⓈONAMACO SOUTH section will be Kiki Mazzuchelli (São Paulo, 1972) having an approach based on the 'performative' and for the first time, the curator of the New Proposals section will be José Esparza Chong Cuy (Mexicali, 1984). SAMPLE will also be held, an exhibition curated by him and will present inside the fair hall”, comments Zélika García, Founder of ZⓈONAMACO, about the novelties for this edition.

The fair will feature an extensive program of conferences given by international guests; a section with specialized publications and publishers; ZⓈONAMACO Books where he will present art books; and a robust program of parallel activities with exhibitions in the most important museums and galleries in the country. In its sixteenth edition, ZⓈONAMACO consolidates itself as the leading art fair in Latin America with the greatest international presence, allowing great collectors and art professionals to meet in one place to receive more than 60,000 visitors.

ZⓈONAMACO SUR
Curator: Kiki Mazzucchelli (São Paulo, 1972).
Continuing with the theme of “The logic of materials” the proposal for this edition is raised again in ‘taking the temperature of the art world’ by examining another recent trend in artistic production; this time, with a focus on the idea of what 'performative'. Term not used in opposition to 'performance’, but as an indicator of the growing interest shown by generations of young artists in incorporating elements of performance en su trabajo, frecuentemente presentados aunado a, o en diálogo con instalaciones, pintura, fotografía y escultura.
